Okay, yeah, I'm a Midwestern conservative stuck in the southwest with a bunch of liberals. Sounds fun, eh? I guess it is what you make it, and I pretty much just make it a joke. I'm originally from Roselle, Illinois; but I couldn't give less of a damn about that town. I lived most of my life thus far in Midland, Michigan. That place may have been one of the most middleclass, white, Christian, places in the US, but I sort of loved it in it's own little innocent way. Hah, yeah. Midland, fucking, Michigan. Holla.
You might say I've changed a lot since I moved from Midland, but really that's unavoidable when you move to a place like Santa Fe (Gay). I'm much more me. I'm more expressive about what I like. I'm constantly learning about and listening to music. I plan to get into making some myself, but that may take time. Luckily there's a thriving (To some that's left for argument...) local scene, unlike the non-existent one in Midland.
I generally listen to most types of rock, including emo, punk, screamo, classic, glam, synth, soft, and even pop rock. I can take a liking to almost any genre as long as it has a few good bands or musicians. Some of my top favorites are Queen, Bowie, The Darkness, Johnny Cash, The Used, HIM, The Aquabats, MSI, Tenacious D, The Bravery, and The Killers. I'm open to anything else though, so feel free to introduce me to bands you like or bands your in. I'd love to hear about it.
But since this is starting to get long, I'm going to try and end it here. In all, I'm pretty much the typical teenager trying to be an individual and ending up conforming to one stereotype or another. My theory, don't give a fuck. Be yourself, even if you end up looking like everyone else. The kids who think they are so superior aren't worth shit. There. End of Bryan trying to be deep.
